In order to get your website up and running, you first need to setup your DNS records. Note: If you selected to transfer your domain to UPT Hosting, follow these steps before continuing. If you selected to use your own domain, you are good to continue.

First, take not of the server IP address sent in your setup email, this will be important later. Now, head to your domain registrar and open the DNS page. This is the place you bought your domain from (Cloudflare, Namecheep, Google Domains, ect). For this guide, we will use cloudflare, but the process is almost identical across the registrars.

Once inside the DNS Page, you will want to create a few records. Some of these records are required while others are recommended because they make your domain easier for search engines to find. First, create an "A" record by clicking "Add Record". For the name use @, this automatically uses your root domain. You can also enter this manually if you prefer. Next, you will need to populate the "IPV4" section with the IP address provided in your setup email, you should have this saved. Next, unselect proxy status if the option is given. Finally, hit save. Now, your website can be reached at your domain name.

Now for an some optional records. Create another "A" record, but this time instead of using @ for your root domain, use "WWW". This will allow people to reach your site using www.yourdomain.com . You can create as many records like this if as you want, for example if you want your website viewable at shop.yourdomain. Each of these domains requires it's own site however. For advanced installs, you may also want to use a reverse proxy.
